the loveliest apron...

when I graduated from uni the very loveliest gift I received was this apron. It was given to me by my year 12 English teacher who also happens to be an all-round fabulous lady! Knowing how much I like op shops she sourced all her materials from local op shops and vintage fairs and transformed them into this masterpiece. The front pocket is a teapot cosy and the layers have been upcycled from a teatowel and a vintage dress.

It is so pretty that I don't want to use it for fear of getting it dirty; so for now it hangs in my sewing room... :)

love x

  1. This is such a great story - I think you have to wear it when you're cooking. It will make it seem so much more special to be cooking and using something made with so much love. I've stopped saving things "for best" on the assumption that everday should be "best", so far I'm liking the philosophy and am hoping it's not going to all end in tears
