a picnic roll

in this lovely book there are lots of lovely things.
one of them is a picnic roll.
to store all your mismatched op shop cutlery and vintage napkins.
i am a picnic kind of person.
i have a lovely vintage picnic basket... but no special and lovely picnic utensils.
i usually just throw random things into my picnic basket which means i usually forget a sharp knife (i thought this through... you will notice a space for a sharp knife in the last photo).
i was inspired by these two lovely ladies who also made picnic rolls.
now i just need some sunshine and my favourite puppy (and some plates and cups but i have faith in my local oppies for this one)!

  1. I love the idea of a picnic roll to keep everything together and handy. That and a few more oppie finds and we will be picnic ready!!

My copy of that book is in transit..I am itching for it to arrive :)

  2. I love yours Kel! I think Little Jane st. ribbon should be the official picnic utensil wrap tie hehe :) xx

  3. aahh What a great idea ;-)) role on the picnic weather. dee x

  4. hi beea-u-ti-ful lady!! I will post your parcels tomorrow... Sorry Its taken me so long to get around to it!!!! Mwah!

  5. What a fantastic idea. If I could sew better I would make one of these myself. I want to go on more picnics this summer.

  6. Oh, I love this. Nothing like a picnic - especially an organised one!!

  7. Love the tartan which gives it a very picnicy feel. Practical crafting is so satisfying isn't it? Thanks for the mention :)
