seeking beauty...

we are back from five days full of beach walking, swimming, op shopping, bike riding and coffee drinking. it was such a lovely time spent with lovely girls collecting lovely things. we got to test out the tent that hubby bought me for my birthday and it was super roomy and surprisingly easy to put up! it was my first proper summer road trip (that doesn't involve driving from brisbane to melbourne in 20 hours) with no set plans and no set destination and now i see what all the road tripping fuss is about! treasure hunting posts to follow :)

a christmas dinner party

armed with a day off work, 8 of the most fabulous ladies i know and inspiration from here we managed to create a lovely night of joy, handmade christmas presents and a little dance party after dinner. mali (who is now blogging again - go and visit her) and i have been wanting to do something like this for ages and had so much fun planning, cooking and creating! yep... it's beginning to feel a little bit like christmas!

road tripping...

i have mentioned our sweet op shopping/bike riding/coffee drinking road trip before but it is coming up in a few days and i thought i would get some reccommendations from you lovely folk! we will be heading south from brisbane and have no definite plans at this stage. we will be gone for 5 days so don't want to end up too far south and driving for days on end. we want to explore, discover and relax! if you have any suggestions or reccommendations for a cafe, national park, country town, op shop, camp ground or beach that is a must visit between brisbane and coffs harbour i would love to hear it! thank-you! you guys are the best!!

for a girl who is two...

a few weeks ago my niece turned two and i decided that this would be my opportunity to venture into handmade clothing. armed with my trusty machine, a vintage sheet and pip's lovely book i managed to come up with something that has been worn several times now and is still in one piece. success? i think so!

One of my resolutions for this year was to be more intentional - with my relationships, with my time and with my focus. In an effort to continue this, I will post four photos from my week of things or moments that have made me happy. I feel like I sometimes miss out on joy just because I'm not looking. Here's to changing that!
