reading... the hunger games. again.

listening to... silverchair. frogstomp is always somewhere in my rotation.

cooking... lots of yummy winter soups.

wanting... some shelves in my wardrobe. we have HEAPS of hanging space but no shelves which makes for a nice big pile of jumpers and t-shirts on the floor!

wishing... for a simpler life.

feeling... cold. all the time.

excited about... an upcoming wedding!

blessed by... a husband who scrapes the ice off my windscreen at 6.30am before he leaves for work.

looking forward to... Harry Potter!

just a minute in... february

watching... the sunsets (somehow we always have amazing evening clouds at our house). I have been trying to turn off the T.V and spend more time enjoying my own life and relationships rather than watching other peoples. That being said - 'Friends' has been getting a small workout at our house this week.

eating... BBQ dinners. It is one of the few things that the hubby will cook and I have been taking full advantage of our lovely summer evenings. Vegie and haloumi kebabs and BBQed corn on the cob - yummo!

listening to... Angus and Julia. Bliss.

reading... living and breathing 'twelfth night'. Shakespeare really was a genius but did he have to make his plays so complicated?

excited about... getting a thermomix. Oh my goodness - these machines are AMAZING! If you have one I would love to hear your thoughts on it. How often do you use it? Are they really worth the VERY hefty price tag?

just a minute in... january

watching... the flood devastation and clean up. luckily my home and family is safe and sound but i know people who weren't so lucky.

eating... vegies. japan wasnt big on vegies in their cooking so i have been really excited to get home and stuck into some roast pumpkin. yum.

listening to... brooke fraser. in preparation for her concert next week. eek.

reading... twelfth night. i'm teaching it to year 12s in a week!!

excited about... am i allowed to say the next holidays when i have only been back at work for three days?? i happen to love my job but starting new schools every six months is a little scary

watching... tv on dvd. i seem to recycle the same series (what is the plural of this word? serieses? seriei? series? haha... anyways...) over and over. its grey's anatomy, criminal minds or how i met your mother.

eating... what is in the cupboard. i made a deal with myself that i would try to use what i have in the cupboard over the past fortnight rather than ducking up to the shops everyday to buy something for dinner. i have about 10 tins of lentils begging to be used! any ideas?

listening to... the air conditioner - it's that hot!

excited about... an upcoming overseas trip! (more about this later)

just a (very late) minute in... august

watching... big bang theory. love it! im waiting on season three to arrive in my mailbox :)

eating... homemade food. after so long without being able to cook in my own kitchen im really enjoying simple, clean homemade meals.

reading... the vampire academy series. its not life-changing but it is entertaining.

listening... to what people say. im really trying to listen more instead of just steamrolling people with my own advice and stories. being a good listener is hard and it takes practice - im slowly getting better!

excited about... school holidays coming up in less than a month. AND mockingjay coming out tomorrow!!!! woohoo!!

sorry about my lack of posts and comments on your lovely blogs over the past week. im really struggling to keep up to date with this wonderful blogging land without internet at home. boo!

just a minute in... july

so i saw this rad idea over here and thought that i would give it a go for june... but as you can see i am a bit late so im trying to get in early for july :)

watching... not a lot to be honest. all the shows i love are on their super long break from t.v at the moment. however, my dad is visiting from china next weekend and he will being with him a plethora of dvds, including season five of criminal minds and the latest greys anatomy! cant wait!

eating... last night i ate turkish food! it is my firm belief that the best food in the world is from turkey. and their apple tea is super yummo!

reading... the short second life of bree tanner. it is taking me surprisingly long to get through. i plan to review it on this blog next week sometime... stay tuned!

listening... to my husband playing the playstation. grr. (i guess its a good trade off for spending so much time on the computer - haha)

wanting... a vintage bike and some brown vintage ankle boots... yes please!

excited about... starting work. surviving work. getting paid for work. woohoo!
